Club Affairs & Legals
To ensure Sports Capital project success, meticulous attention to detail is crucial. Ensure your club’s trustees and legal matters are in good order from the outset. Simple issues, such as the replacement of trustees, can unexpectedly delay projects. Take the time during the early stages of the application process to ensure all club affairs are in order, eliminating potential roadblocks.
Matching Funds
One key aspect often overlooked is the availability of club funds. To kickstart the funding process, the club must be able to pay the initial supplier invoice. Proof of payment, usually in the form of a bank statement, is essential. Fundraising or bridging finance may be necessary, so it’s crucial to have this in place to avoid any hiccups in drawing down the first sports capital payment. In our experience, it is recommended that you have funding arrangements in place for at least 50% of the total cost of your project.
